Background
The very first Rock-N-Roll I ever heard was Grand Funk Railroad and I loved it immediately. This actually set me on a quest to learn all about this music genre from the age of 12. I quickly became very well versed in all of the late 1960s and early 1970s music, with a growing interest over time.

One of Grand Funk Railroad's best known songs is We're An American Band (included here). This song was written about an actual event when the band totally trashed an hotel in which they were staying and it didn't matter how much money they had to pay to repair the hotel. It was the crazy times of the early Rock-N-Roll era and partying and music was the only objective.
