Theme Week 34 =
Various Fernandez
(Old World, 601, etc.)
I recently bought a few of A J Fernandez to try them out. I have
been quite pleased with them.
There are just so many options
available these days, so it will be nice to have a 'theme' week of
various products in which A J Fernandez has influence.
History
A. J. Fernandez Cigars has a rich history that includes family
tradition, a move to Nicaragua, and collaborations with his
father.
A. J. Fernandez's grandfather created the San Lotano brand
in Cuba before losing everything during the confiscatory and
murderous regime's 1959 Revolution.
Much later, in 2002, A. J.
moved to Nicaragua to pursue cigar making. He chose Nicaragua
because of its ideal tobacco growing conditions and a growing
cigar industry. A. J. started by making cigars for other
companies, including Rocky Patel and Cigars International.

In
2010, A. J. revived the San Lotano brand as his own, paying
tribute to his grandfather's legacy stolen by the evil communists
in Cuba. A. J. often collaborates with his father, Ismael, on
blends like New World and Enclave. A. J.'s factory in Estelí is
one of the largest in Nicaragua and produces almost 9 million
cigars a year.
The factory also has a
rolling school that trains people to become rollers for A. J.
Fernandez Cigars.
