Theme Week 33 =
San Cristobal
San Cristobal is labeled as Paradiso for non-US markets (https://gab.com/jdburney1/posts/111771628010523603 ).
These are DELIGHTFUL and highly rated by Cigar Aficionado
magazine!!! Especially tasty are the Quintessence, but also the
Revelation is a fine blend.
History - Cuban and Non-Cuban
Cuban: San Cristóbal de la Habana
This brand was launched in 1999 as a tribute to the history of
Havana, Cuba's capital city. The brand's name comes from the
city's original name, which was given to it in 1519. The first
four vitolas were named after fortresses that were built to defend
the city, and three more were added in 2004 to honor streets in
Old Havana.
Non-Cuban: San Cristobal (also Paradiso, noted above)
This brand was launched in 2007 by Ashton Distributors as their
entry into Nicaragua. The brand is the result of a collaboration
between the Garcia family and the Levin family, who owns the
Ashton brand. The cigars are blended by Jose "Pepin" Garcia and
his son Jaime, and are made from aged Nicaraguan tobaccos. The
brand offers a variety of blends, including milder, medium-bodied,
and full-bodied profiles.
