Theme Week 20 = Perdomo
The first time I had a Perdomo was in 2010 and it was the Habano Connecticut. I found the cigar to be so delightful that I have enjoyed it many times over the last 14 years and still have ten of my original large purchase of that cigar.

However, even more enjoyable is the now no-longer-available 10th Anniversary Criollo. While Perdomo has since then rolled the Criollo cigar under the "Champagne" label (and yet it still remains nearly impossible to find), the original non-Champagne label was a truly fantastic cigar. I have only eight of those incredible perfectos left, and IMHO, they were the best of the entire 10th Anniversary franchise, as also noted by this reviewer (here = https://www.famous-smoke.com/cigaradvisor/cigar-reviews/my-weekend-cigars-nub-maduro-460-and-perdomo-10th-anniv-criollo-robusto ).

I do like the 10th Anniversary Champagne series (thus many still rest comfortably in my humidor), but not as much as the Habano Connecticut and certainly nowhere-near as much as the original 10th Anniversary (non-Champagne) Criollo.

During this 'theme' week, I think I will pair the Champagne cigar with a Mimosa... at least once (or twice... or three times... or many more times! LOL).

History
As you can read on their website, the Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Champagne is blended using tobaccos that have been aged for a minimum of six years. The Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Champagne was where the technique of bourbon barrel-aging wrapper tobaccos started for Perdomo. This special aging process was a Perdomo family secret for years and Nicholas Perdomo, Sr. aptly named the beautiful bourbon barrel-aged wrappers, the “Champagne” of wrappers.
