Theme week 18 = Finishing Rocky Patel and Beginning Oliva
I have been quite pleased with the way in which many of my Rocky Patel cigars have aged over time, such as the 15-year-old Edge Lancero (Natural and Maduro) as well as the 8 to 10-year-old Royale, 20th Anniversary Maduro, and Decade (10th Anniversary).

So as I begin week 18, I'm wrapping up my enjoyment of the multiple Rocky Patel labels in my humidor and will soon begin with Oliva for the next 'theme'.

I have a nice variety of various Oliva labels with the vast majority being Serie V labeled products. While some of my Oliva cigars are less than 5 years old, the majority of my Serie V cigars (including the full box pictured here) and all of my Nubs, are more than 10 to 15 years old, and should make the next 10 days quite enjoyable.

Just as I have always done with my cigars, for the Rocky Patel and Oliva cigars, they have been laid out and segmented according to production run, and they lay for many, many years mostly undisturbed in an average 67% humidified environment.

I have found that this practice has worked well for me in allowing the cigars to age well and be delightful when finally consumed without any wrapper splitting or unraveling issues souring my enjoyment of these highly rated cigars.
