The "holy" Qur'an [Sura 4.95]: "Those who don't fight and those who do are not equal; and Allah shall grant those who fight a mighty reward over those who do not."

TWO BLATANT LIES OF SATAN:

  1. Militant Islam is a radicalized perversion of the religion
  2. Moderate Muslims practice Islam's true religion of peace

Introduction                                                 Click Here for my Islam Index
As I was with my daughter from an early age, I am one who tends to point to scripture and encourage the student to ask for the wisdom and guidance of the Holy Spirit rather than to give my view up front. Were I like much of humanity, the student would approach scripture with a particular viewpoint already in place which would influence the reading, bend the view in a particular direction, affect the perception, "color" or "filter" the comprehension, et cetera.

In life, most people get their "knowledge" from the reports of others, and most people are too intellectually lazy to confirm the correctness of what they have been told, thus we find "opinion" stated and treated as "fact" throughout our daily life and interaction with others.

This is the opposite of what Christian scripture calls "more noble" in Acts 17:11, namely the searching of documents to confirm the accuracy of the "opinions" and teachings of others.

As noted, this intellectual laziness is rampant in America regarding the religion of Islam. The vast majority simply accept what they are told, believing without question or confirmation.

Let us take just one brief example from a well-known and widely accepted source. The following four sequential paragraphs are from a speech delivered to the general assembly of the United Nations by the President of the United States on 25 September 2012.

It is time to leave the call of violence and the politics of division behind. On so many issues, we face a choice between the promise of the future, or the prisons of the past. And we cannot afford to get it wrong. We must seize this moment. And America stands ready to work with all who are willing to embrace a better future.

The future must not belong to those who target Coptic Christians in Egypt -- it must be claimed by those in Tahrir Square who chanted, "Muslims, Christians, we are one." The future must not belong to those who bully women -- it must be shaped by girls who go to school, and those who stand for a world where our daughters can live their dreams just like our sons.

The future must not belong to those corrupt few who steal a country’s resources -- it must be won by the students and entrepreneurs, the workers and business owners who seek a broader prosperity for all people. Those are the women and men that America stands with; theirs is the vision we will support.

The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam. But to be credible, those who condemn that slander must also condemn the hate we see in the images of Jesus Christ that are desecrated, or churches that are destroyed, or the Holocaust that is denied.

Example of Acceptance Without Confirmation

Speech Delivered To United Nations, 25 September 2012
President of the United States, Barak Hussein Obama

Let's analyze what was "taught" by searching the scriptures of Islam to see, as modern-day Bereans, whether what we are told is true.

DEFINITIONS

The Qur’an is a collection of words that Muhammad attributed to Allah. The Hadith is a collection of narrations of the life and deeds of Muhammad. The Sira is his recorded biography. The Sunnah is said to be Muhammad's way of life, on which Islamic law (Sharia) is based.

Qur'an
The set of scriptures which are reportedly the Divine revelation to Muhammad by the angels Michael and Gabriel.

Sura / Surah
Chapters within the Qur'an. Where a Sura is numbered, such as 8.12, this means chapter 8, sub-division (or verse) 12.

Hadiths
The accompanying narrative of the events and prophetic teachings of Muhammad in addition to the actual revelation of the Qur'an. These are canonized in the religion of Islam and accepted as canonical by all Muslims in the world. While fully authoritative, the Qur'an enjoys the higher authority of having been given by the angelic host of the Divine entity of the universe.

THEREFORE, I will always refer to the Qur'an first, and when I include reference to Hadiths, these will all be predicated on the overriding "value" of the Qur'anic verses.

Names/Words in Qur'an

Nuh = Noah

Ibrahim = Abraham

Uzair = Ezra

Critical Truth
A Revelation
Of Jesus Christ to
The Apostle John

Understanding the
Name of Allah & the
Number of his Name

Speech Paragraph 1. "It is time to leave the call of violence and the politics of division behind"
What does the Qur'an actually say?

  • [Sura 8.12] "When your Lord revealed to the angels: I am with you, therefore
make firm those who believe. I will cast terror into the hearts of those
who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every
    fingertip of them.
    "

  • [Sura 5:33] "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His
apostle and those who strive to make mischief in the land is only this,
that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their
feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned.
    "

  • [Sura 4.95] “The holders back from among the believers, not having any injury,
and those who strive hard in Allah's way with their property and their
persons are not equal; Allah has made the strivers with their property
and their persons to excel the holders back a (high) degree, and to each
(class) Allah has promised good; and Allah shall grant to the strivers
above the holders back a mighty reward.
” (This means that, except for the
physically disabled, those who don’t fight against non-Muslims are lower
class in the eyes of Allah, even though they will still receive some lower
    quality eternal reward)

Speech Paragraph 2 (a). "Muslims, Christians, we are one"
What does the Qur'an actually say?

  • [Sura 9.30] “And the Jews say: Uzair is the son of Allah; and the Christians say:
    The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths;
they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah
destroy them; how they are turned away!

  • [Sura 2.191] "And kill them wherever you find them."

  • [Sura 2.193] "And fight with them until there is no persecution, and religion
    should be only for Allah
, but if they desist, then there should be
no hostility except against the oppressors.
    "

Speech Paragraph 2 (b). “... those who bully women” and “our daughters... just like our sons”
What does the Qur’an actually say?

  • [Sura 4.34] “Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of
them to excel others and because they spend out of their property; the
good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has
guarded; and (as to) those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish
them, and leave them alone in the sleeping-places and beat them; then
if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High,
    Great.

  • [Sura 38.44] “And take in your hand a green branch and beat her with it and do
not break your oath; surely We found him patient; most excellent the
servant! Surely he was frequent in returning (to Allah).

  • [Sura 2.223] “Your wives are a tilth for you, so go into your tilth when you like.

  • [Sura 2.228] “... and the men are a degree above women.

  • [Sura 66:5] "Maybe, his Lord, if he divorce you, will give him in your place wives
better than you, submissive, faithful, obedient, penitent, adorers, fasters,
    widows and virgins.
" (a disobedient wife can simply be replaced any time
    he wishes)

  • [Sura 4:11] "The male shall have the equal of the portion of two females" (inheritance law)

IMPORTANT NOTE: Sexual enslavement and rape of non-Muslim women is Divinely
endorsed regardless of whether they are married, as will be seen further into the curriculum.

Speech Paragraph 3. "those corrupt few who steal a country's resources"

In 2006, Barak Hussein Obama campaigned in Kenya with and for his corrupt cousin Odinga
who implemented Islamic Sharia Law in Kenya, murdered and displaced thousands, and
then pilfered the financial resources of the country. (click here)

Speech Paragraph 4 (a). "slander the prophet of Islam"

Is it honestly "slander" when one simply quotes what was actually written by Muhammad himself?

Speech Paragraph 4 (b). "those... must also condemn..."
What does the Qur'an actually say?

  • [Sura 9.30] “And the Jews say: Uzair is the son of Allah; and the Christians say:
    The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths;
they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah
destroy them; how they are turned away!

  • [Sura 3.151] “We will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve, because
they set up with Allah that for which He has sent down no authority,
and their abode is the fire, and evil is the abode of the unjust.
    "

So what do we learn from this one example?

Simply This: Relying on the "teaching" or "perspective" of another person is intellectual laziness and almost always guarantees an error in one's election to believe what one has been taught.

There is a secondary lesson: President Obama either does not understand Islam, or intentionally misrepresents it. I believe the latter because prior to and during his presidential campaign he spoke of his youth in Muslim countries and Muslim schools, and stated that one of the prettiest sounds on earth at sunset was hearing the call to prayer from the Muslim mosques. With such a rich background in Islam on three continents and for his entire youth and young adult life, he certainly knows the scriptures above and those quoted in the various sections below.

ON TO THE CURRICULUM
As we move through the curriculum, I have made every effort to directly quote the Qur'an since it is the overriding authoritative "scripture" of the religion of Islam. I have taken the Qur'anic verses at "face value" just as I have done in my study of Judeo-Christian scriptures. If the Divine Presence of this universe has directly spoken to and revealed His Will to humanity, then such revelation should be understandable by the audience receiving the Divine proclamations.

I do not need another person to interpret for me, and neither do you. The Qur'an is the "revelation of Allah" to humanity. The Hadiths are the historical narratives accompanying that revelation. In Judeo-Christian scripture, the Divine Revelation is merged with the historical record/narrative, and is self proclaimed as inspired by God. In Islam, the Qur'an is pre-eminent, and the Hadiths are the second highest level of authority having documented the actions and teaching of Muhammad himself subsequent to his receipt of the Divine revelation recorded as the Qur'an.

These will be included as links throughout the curriculum

Islam: Part 1 of 4 - Core Belief Structure

Section 1 of 2: The Primary Assertion
The Qur'an asserts itself to be the corrected Divine revelation, while claiming the Torah and the teachings of Jesus are previous revelations of God but have been ignored and even perverted by Jews and Christians, thus the need for a new revelation. Islam is founded upon the belief that the Jews were traitorous to the original "book" (Torah) given to Moses by angels (Of course, Judeo-Christian belief is that it was given directly by God Himself), and that Christians have perverted the teachings of the prophet Jesus (not the son of God, nor God-incarnate). This hostility against Jew and Christian is discussed directly in Qur'an, Suras 9.29-30 and 5.41-50, very clearly damning the Jew and Christian for perverting the original revelations of God.

[Sura 9.29-30] Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Apostle have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection. And the Jews say: Uzair is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!

[Sura 5.41-50] O Apostle! let not those grieve you who strive together in hastening to unbelief from among those who say with their mouths: We believe, and their hearts do not believe, and from among those who are Jews; they are listeners for the sake of a lie, listeners for another people who have not come to you; they alter the words from their places, saying: If you are given this, take it, and if you are not given this, be cautious; and as for him whose temptation Allah desires, you cannot control anything for him with Allah. Those are they for whom Allah does not desire that He should purify their hearts; they shall have disgrace in this world, and they shall have a grievous chastisement in the hereafter. (They are) listeners of a lie, devourers of what is forbidden; therefore if they come to you, judge between them or turn aside from them, and if you turn aside from them, they shall not harm you in any way; and if you judge, judge between them with equity; surely Allah loves those who judge equitably. And how do they make you a judge and they have the Taurat wherein is Allah's judgment? Yet they turn back after that, and these are not the believers. Surely We revealed the Taurat in which was guidance and light; with it the prophets who submitted themselves (to Allah) judged (matters) for those who were Jews, and the masters of Divine knowledge and the doctors, because they were required to guard (part) of the Book of Allah, and they were witnesses thereof; therefore fear not the people and fear Me, and do not take a small price for My communications; and whoever did not judge by what Allah revealed, those are they that are the unbelievers. And We prescribed to them in it that life is for life, and eye for eye, and nose for nose, and ear for ear, and tooth for tooth, and (that there is) reprisal in wounds; but he who foregoes it, it shall be an expiation for him; and whoever did not judge by what Allah revealed, those are they that are the unjust. And We sent after them in their footsteps Isa, son of Marium, verifying what was before him of the Taurat and We gave him the Injeel in which was guidance and light, and verifying what was before it of Taurat and a guidance and an admonition for those who guard (against evil). And the followers of the Injeel should have judged by what Allah revealed in it; and whoever did not judge by what Allah revealed, those are they that are the transgressors. And We have revealed to you the Book with the truth, verifying what is before it of the Book and a guardian over it, therefore judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and do not follow their low desires (to turn away) from the truth that has come to you; for every one of you did We appoint a law and a way, and if Allah had pleased He would have made you (all) a single people, but that He might try you in what He gave you, therefore strive with one another to hasten to virtuous deeds; to Allah is your return, of all (of you), so He will let you know that in which you differed; And that you should judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and do not follow their low desires, and be cautious of them, lest they seduce you from part of what Allah has revealed to you; but if they turn back, then know that Allah desires to afflict them on account of some of their faults; and most surely many of the people are transgressors. Is it then the judgment of (the times of) ignorance that they desire? And who is better than Allah to judge for a people who are sure?

As for the main tenet of Islam, the entire faith of Islam is actually based on the one premise found in these two verses:

[Sura 2.105-106] Those who disbelieve from among the followers of the Book do not like, nor do the polytheists, that the good should be sent down to you from your Lord, and Allah chooses especially whom He pleases for His mercy, and Allah is the Lord of mighty grace. Whatever communications We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, We bring one better than it or like it. Do you not know that Allah has power over all things?

This is further reinforced in these verses:

[Sura 10.37] And this Quran is not such as could be forged by those besides Allah, but it is a verification of that which is before it and a clear explanation of the book, there is no doubt in it, from the Lord of the worlds.

[Sura 32.23] And certainly We gave the Book to Musa, so be not in doubt concerning the receiving of it, and We made it a guide for the children of Israel.

[Sura 42.13] He has made plain to you of the religion what He enjoined upon Nuh and that which We have revealed to you and that which We enjoined upon Ibrahim and Musa and Isa that keep to obedience and be not divided therein (In order: Nuh=Noah, Ibrahim=Abraham, Musa=Moses, Isa=Jesus)

There are more including Suras 4.50 and 5.52. The "book" referred to in the Qur'an is the Torah (first 5 books of the Old Testament representing the law given by God to Moses), and interestingly, in Sura 2.85 the Qur'an actually states that those who only believe in part of the Torah will burn in hell. It says:
"Do you then believe in a part of the Book and disbelieve in the other? What then is the reward of such among you as do this but disgrace in the life of this world, and on the day of resurrection they shall be sent back to the most grievous chastisement, and Allah is not at all heedless of what you do."

The "polytheists" include the Christians who believe God has revealed himself in three persons. The "polytheists" also include Hindus and others.

Since Sura 2.106 clearly states that the new revelation will confirm or improve upon the "book" (i.e. Old Testament Torah), an analysis can easily confirm whether this is true.

The table below is a very limited selection of topics and an analysis of primarily the Torah (the law given to Moses) and of the Qur'an to show that Islam does not validate its main premise, because God has confirmed that He NEVER changes (see Numbers 23:19; Psalm 102:27; Hebrews 1:12, 13:8). Here are just a few items that, for me, conclusively proves that not only does the Qur'an not live up to its claim of the same or better, but is in fact a demonic revelation intended to ensure that what God previously defined as abominations in the Torah are committed throughout the earth, in order to damn mankind and separate us from God.

Topic The Bible The Qur'an
Divorce

The Torah says that remarrying a woman after she has married another man is "detestable" to God (an "abomination") and a sin upon the land.

The Qur'an requires this, thus it is a reversal of the law of God given to Moses.

Deuteronomy 24:1-4
If a man marries a woman who becomes displeasing to him because he finds something indecent about her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce, gives it to her and sends her from his house, and if after she leaves his house she becomes the wife of another man, and her second husband dislikes her and writes her a certificate of divorce, gives it to her and sends her from his house, or if he dies, then her first husband, who divorced her, is not allowed to marry her again after she has been defiled. That would be detestable in the eyes of the LORD. Do not bring sin upon the land the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance.
Sura 2.230
So if he divorces her she shall not be lawful to him afterwards until she marries another husband; then if he divorces her there is no blame on them both if they return to each other (by marriage), if they think that they can keep within the limits of Allah, and these are the limits of Allah which He makes clear for a people who know.
Oaths

The Torah requires one to keep their oath.

The Qur'an does not require it.

Numbers 30
Extensive chapter about oaths and being sure to keep them.
Sura 2.225
Allah does not call you to account for what is vain in your oaths.
Who Named Animals

The Torah says that Adam named the animals.

The Qur'an says that Allah told Adam the name of the animals

Genesis 2:20
So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals. But for Adam no suitable helper was found.
Sura 2.31
And He taught Adam all the names, then presented them to the angels; then He said: Tell me the names of those if you are right.
The murder of Abel by Cain

The Torah says that Abel's sacrifice was pleasing but that Cain's was not. It does not give any reason as to why, but Cain's murder indicates a problem with his heart, specifically a jealousy and rage, such that the Judeo-Christian view is that Cain was selfish and self-centered.

The Qur'an itself only describes the sacrifice and murder and claims that Allah used a crow to teach Cain how to hide a murdered body, but many hundreds of years after the death of Muhammad, later narrations include a DIFFERENT reasoning of the jealousy of Cain.

Genesis 4:1-16
Adam was intimate with his wife Eve, and she conceived and gave birth to Cain. She said, “I have had a male child with the Lord’s help.” Then she also gave birth to his brother Abel. Now Abel became a shepherd of flocks, but Cain worked the ground. In the course of time Cain presented some of the land’s produce as an offering to the Lord. And Abel also presented an offering—some of the firstborn of his flock and their fat portions. The Lord had regard for Abel and his offering, but He did not have regard for Cain and his offering. Cain was furious, and he looked despondent. Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you furious? And why do you look despondent? If you do what is right, won’t you be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is for you, but you must rule over it.” Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let’s go out to the field.” And while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him. Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?” “I don’t know,” he replied. “Am I my brother’s guardian?” Then He said, “What have you done? Your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground! So now you are cursed, alienated, from the ground that opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood you have shed. If you work the ground, it will never again give you its yield. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth.” But Cain answered the Lord, “My punishment is too great to bear! Since You are banishing me today from the soil, and I must hide myself from Your presence and become a restless wanderer on the earth, whoever finds me will kill me.” Then the Lord replied to him, “In that case, whoever kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times over.” And He placed a mark on Cain so that whoever found him would not kill him. Then Cain went out from the Lord’s presence and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.
Sura 5.27-31
The Qur'an itself only describes the sacrifice and murder and claims that Allah used a crow to teach Cain how to hide a murdered body, but many hundreds of years after Muhammad's death, later narrations include a DIFFERENT reasoning of the jealousy of Cain. In Islam, Cain is called Qabil and Abel is called Habil.

Here is a quoted teaching from Islamic narratives:
"Several scholars among the Salaf and the later generations said that Allah allowed Adam to marry his daughters to his sons because of the necessity of such action. They also said that in every pregnancy, Adam was given a twin, a male and a female, and he used to give the female of one twin, to the male of the other twin, in marriage. Habil's sister was not beautiful while Qabil's sister was beautiful, resulting in Qabil wanting her for himself, instead of his brother. Adam refused unless they both offer a sacrifice, and he whose sacrifice was accepted, would marry Qabil's sister. Habil's sacrifice was accepted, while Qabil's sacrifice was rejected, and thus what Allah told us about them occurred. Ibn Abi Hatim recorded that Ibn `Abbas said -- that during the time of Adam -- "The woman was not allowed in marriage for her male twin, but Adam was commanded to marry her to any of her other brothers. In each pregnancy, Adam was given a twin, a male and a female. A beautiful daughter was once born for Adam and another one that was not beautiful. So the twin brother of the ugly daughter said, `Marry your sister to me and I will marry my sister to you.' He said, `No, for I have more right to my sister.' So they both offered a sacrifice. The sacrifice of the one who offered the sheep was accepted while the sacrifice of the other ﴿the twin brother of the beautiful daughter﴾, which consisted of some produce, was not accepted. So the latter killed his brother.'' This story has a better than good chain of narration."

Tithe

The Torah clearly states 10% consistently, as do the prophets.

The Qur'an requires it, but does not tell us how much, rather one has to look to the Hadiths which have different percentages disbursed throughout those texts.

Bible (both Old and New Testaments)
For a full discussion of the tithe, click here.

Notice, in the Bible, the tithe is clearly God's and clearly defined. But in the Qur'an, it is NOT defined at all. Remember, Sura 2.206 states "Whatever communications We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, We bring one better than it or like it." Question: How is no definition "better" than clear definition?

At the most base level, the Zakat is 2.5% of certain assets, but not all. In the Bible, the tithe is always 10% of income (growth in assets).

Qur'an
There is no Qur'anic verse that gives the amount of the tithe, which in Islam is called "zakat".

In the Hadiths, it is confusing as to how much for it fluctuates depending on what assets or income one is considering when calculating what they are to give as a tithe/zakat. The most basic is 2.5% of certain assets, per the Hadiths (and not consistent for all assets).

Wikipedia tries to explain it HERE.

Sex in Heaven

The Bible indicates Heaven is non-sexual.

The Qur'an states that Heaven will have lots of sexual pleasures.

Multiple New Testament Verses
Jesus Christ affirms there is no marriage and we are non-sexual beings in heaven (Matt. 22:23-33; Mark 12:24-25; Luke 20:34-36).
Multiple Qur'an Verses
According to Muslim teaching, heaven is a garden of bliss, where faithful men are promised the companionship of young and beautiful women (Sura 37:48-49; 38:52-53; 52:20; 55:54-57, 70-77; 56:22-24, 35-40; 78:31-34; etc.).
Who Adopted Moses

The Bible states it was Pharoah's daughter.

The Qur'an states it was Pharoah's wife.

Exodus 2:10
When the child grew older, she took him to Pharaoh's daughter and he became her son. She named him Moses, saying, "I drew him out of the water."
Sura 28:9
And Firon's wife said: A refreshment of the eye to me and to you; do not slay him; maybe he will be useful to us, or we may take him for a son; and they did not perceive.
Blood Sacrifice

The Bible teaches that when God sees the blood, He passes over our sins.

The Qur'an teaches that Allah does not see the sacrifice or the blood, but sees the "godliness" in one's behavior.

Leviticus 17:11
The life of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it for you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement, by reason of the life.

Hebrews 9:22
Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.

Sura 22:34-37
We have appointed for every nation a holy rite that they may mention Allah's name over such beasts of the flocks as He has provided them ... And the beasts of sacrifice - We have appointed them for you as among Allah's waymarks; therein is good for you ... The flesh of them shall not reach Allah, neither their blood. But godliness from you shall reach Him.
Moses' Wife

The Qur'an gives a significantly different number of daughters to Moses' father-in-law.

Exodus 2:16-18
Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters. And they came and drew water, and they filled the troughs to water their father’s flock. Then the shepherds came and drove them away; but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock. When they came to Reuel their father, he said, 'How is it that you have come so soon today?' And they said, 'An Egyptian delivered us from the hand of the shepherds, and he also drew enough water for us and watered the flock.' So he said to his daughters, 'And where is he? Why is it that you have left the man? Call him, that he may eat bread.'

Sura 28:23-27
And he [Moses] found beside them, two women keeping back their flock: 'Why do ye,' said he, 'thus?' They said, 'We shall not water till the shepherds shall have driven off; for our father is very aged'...One of them said, 'O my father, hire him: for the best thou canst hire is the strong, the trusty.' He said, 'Truly to one of these my two daughters I desire to marry thee'".

Sons of Noah

The Qur'an directly contradicts the Torah in the status of the sons of Noah at the time of the flood.

Genesis 9:18-19
The Bible teaches that Noah’s three sons entered into the ark, were delivered from destruction, and helped repopulate the earth.
Sura 11:42-43
And it moved on with them amid waves like mountains; and Nuh called out to his son, and he was aloof: O my son! embark with us and be not with the unbelievers. He said: I will betake myself for refuge to a mountain that shall protect me from the water. Nuh said: There is no protector today from Allah's punishment but He Who has mercy; and a wave intervened between them, so he was of the drowned.
Crucifixion of Jesus

The Bible teaches that Jesus was crucified for our sins, buried, and then raised from the dead.

The Qur'an flat out denies this, while yet stating Jesus was an Apostle/Prophet of Allah.

Multiple Bible Verses
Matthew 27, Mark 15, Luke 23, John 19... and many other references throughout the Epistles of the Apostles.
Sura 4.157
They (the Jews) said (in boast), 'We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Apostle of Allah', - but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them

How many reversals of truth are necessary for us to reject Islam as a perversion of Divine revelation? For me, just a few items was enough,
though I continued to research in order to be able to provide informed responses to those who questioned me. Why?

1 Peter 3:15 "Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have."

True prophecy comes to pass just as the inspired messenger foreshadowed. If the prophecy fails, the prophet is rightly counted as false (Deut. 18:22; Jer. 28:1-17). By the same token, if a later prophet contradicts an earlier prophet, both cannot be true. One or the other is false. The Qur'an, the holy book of Islam, does NOT claim to be an independent revelation; rather, it affirms the validity of the Bible, and claims to build upon its teaching. Nevertheless, the Qur'an contradicts the teaching of the Bible. Therefore, based upon this internal contradiction, the rules of reason and revelation affirm that the Qur'an cannot be true (Gal. 1:6-9; 2 Pet. 3:14-18).

Further, Jesus is an acknowledged "prophet" in the Qur'an. Yet Jesus said in Matthew 5:18 that the Torah would not pass until the end of time. The Apostle Paul also said in Galatians 1:8 "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God's curse!" Since the Qur'an reverses many things in the Torah and was delivered to Muhammad by "angels", the natural conclusion is that "cursed angels" are the source of the Qur'anic revelation. This is no surprise, for Paul also says that Satan masquerades as an angel of light (2 Cor 11:14).

You see, the "angels" that delivered the Qur'an to Muhammad clearly state that the Jews and Christians are apostate, failing to live up to the original revelations given in the times before Muhammad [Qur'an, Sura 5.41-50] and because of that Allah has given the clear revelation to Muhammad. Further, the "angels" immediately follow that with an instruction to Muhammad that if a Muslim actually becomes friends with Jews or Christians, they are damned to Hell for all eternity [Qur'an, Sura 5.51 and Sura 4.144-146].

Section 2 of 2: The Nature of Allah, Heaven, and Hell

Muhammad was Scared of the "Angel", Debated Whether He was Demon-Possessed, and Considered Suicide

Muhammad's frightening encounter and his consideration of committing suicide are noted in a Hadith and in his biography.

Hadith
[Bukhari 9.111] Narrated 'Aisha: The commencement of the Divine Inspiration to Allah's Apostle was in the form of good righteous (true) dreams in his sleep. He never had a dream but that it came true like bright day light. He used to go in seclusion (the cave of) Hira where he used to worship (Allah Alone) continuously for many (days) nights. He used to take with him the journey food for that (stay) and then come back to (his wife) Khadija to take his food like-wise again for another period to stay, till suddenly the Truth descended upon him while he was in the cave of Hira. The angel came to him in it and asked him to read. The Prophet replied, "I do not know how to read." (The Prophet added), "The angel caught me (forcefully) and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it anymore. He then released me and again asked me to read, and I replied, "I do not know how to read," whereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it anymore. He then released me and asked me again to read, but again I replied, "I do not know how to read (or, what shall I read?)." Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me and then released me and said, "Read: In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists). Has created man from a clot. Read and Your Lord is Most Generous...up to..... ..that which he knew not." (96.15) Then Allah's Apostle returned with the Inspiration, his neck muscles twitching with terror till he entered upon Khadija and said, "Cover me! Cover me!" They covered him till his fear was over and then he said, "O Khadija, what is wrong with me?" Then he told her everything that had happened and said, 'I fear that something may happen to me." Khadija said, 'Never! But have the glad tidings, for by Allah, Allah will never disgrace you as you keep good relations with your Kith and kin, speak the truth, help the poor and the destitute, serve your guest generously and assist the deserving, calamity-afflicted ones." ... But after a few days Waraqa died and the Divine Inspiration was also paused for a while and the Prophet became so sad as we have heard that he intended several times to throw himself from the tops of high mountains and every time he went up the top of a mountain in order to throw himself down, Gabriel would appear before him and say, "O Muhammad! You are indeed Allah's Apostle in truth" whereupon his heart would become quiet and he would calm down and would return home. And whenever the period of the coming of the inspiration used to become long, he would do as before, but when he used to reach the top of a mountain, Gabriel would appear before him and say to him what he had said before.

Biography
Here are additional details from Guillaume's "The Life of Muhammad", page 106. "So I [Muhammad] read it, and he [Gabriel] departed from me. And I awoke from my sleep, and it was though these words were written on my heart. (Tabari: Now none of God's creatures was more hateful to me than an (ecstatic) poet or a man possessed: I could not even look at them. I thought, Woe is me poet or possessed - Never shall Quraysh say this of me! I will go to the top of the mountain and throw myself down that I may kill myself and gain rest. So I went forth to do so and then) when I was midway on the mountain, I heard a voice from heaven saying "O Muhammad! thou are the apostle of God and I am Gabriel.""

REMARKABLE !!

With his initial encounters, Muhammad actually was afraid of the "angel", debated whether it was a demon, feared he may have become possessed by a demon, and debated whether he should kill himself.

The "angel" kept reappearing to him each time he thought of jumping to his death and reassured him that he was chosen by Allah as a prophet.

Does this surprise anyone?

Jesus is an acknowledged "prophet" in the Qur'an. Yet Jesus said in Matthew 5:18 that the Torah would not pass until the end of time. The Apostle Paul also said in Galatians 1:8 "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God's curse!"

Since the Qur'an reverses many things in the Torah and was delivered to Muhammad by "angels", the natural conclusion is that "cursed angels" are the source of the Qur'anic revelation.

This is no surprise, for Paul also says that Satan masquerades as an angel of light (2 Cor 11:14).

The nature of Allah and the teachings of the Qur'an regarding heaven, hell, and the occupants of each eternal destination are significantly different from the Judeo-Christian teachings. Here are just a few of over 500 Qur'anic verses that speak of these matters.

Qur'an

[Sura 40:71-72] - When the fetters and the chains shall be on their necks; they shall be dragged Into boiling water, then in the fire shall they be burned

[Sura 22:19-21] - But as for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be cut out for them; boiling fluid will be poured down on their heads; Whereby that which is in their bellies, and their skins too, will be melted; And for them are hooked rods of iron

[Sura 4:56] - Those who disbelieve Our revelations, We shall expose them to the Fire. As often as their skins are consumed We shall exchange them for fresh skins that they may taste the torment Lo! Allah is ever Mighty, Wise

[Sura 56:92-94] - But if he is of the rejecters, the erring, then the welcome will be boiling water and roasting at hell-fire

As to what regard Muslims are to show for those who don't believe, the Qur'an says to be ruthless toward them, since they are going to Hell anyway:

[Sura 9:73] - O Prophet! strive hard against the unbelievers and the hypocrites and be unyielding to them; and their abode is hell, and evil is the destination

[Sura 66:9] - O Prophet! Strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be stern with them. Hell will be their home, a hapless journey's end.

[Sura 8:55] - Surely the vilest of animals in Allah's sight are those who disbelieve

[Sura 9:30] - And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah... Allah (Himself) fighteth against them. How perverse are they!

[Sura 4:52] - Those (Christians) are they whom Allah hath cursed...

[Sura 4:47] - O you (Jews) who have been given the Book! believe that which We have revealed, verifying what you have, before We alter faces then turn them on their backs, or curse them as We cursed the violators of the Sabbath, and the command of Allah shall be executed.

[Sura 5:59-60] - Say: O followers of the Book! do you find fault with us (for aught) except that we believe in Allah and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed before, and that most of you are transgressors? Say: Shall I inform you of (him who is) worse than this in retribution from Allah? (Worse is he) whom Allah has cursed and brought His wrath upon, and of whom He made apes and swine, and he who served the Shaitan; these are worse in place and more erring from the straight path.

This verse begets the infamous belief on the part of some Muslims that Jews are descended from swine and apes, since it says that wicked Jews (at least) were transformed by Allah in the past. (See also Sura 2:64)

From the Hadiths

There are hundreds of verses from the traditions that speak of violence and hatred against non-Muslims, particularly Allah's intense dislike, manifested by his plans to physically torture them for eternity.

Bukhari (54:487) - Someone asked, "O Allah's Apostle This (ordinary) fire would have been sufficient (to torture the unbelievers)," Allah's Apostle said, "The (Hell) Fire has 69 parts more than the ordinary (worldly) fire, each part is as hot as this (worldly) fire." In other words, ordinary fire isn't hot enough to torture non-Muslims. Therefore the fire in Hell is 69 times hotter.

Bukhari (2:28) - Women comprise the majority of Hell's occupants. (A weak Hadith, Kanz al-`ummal, 22:10, even suggests that 99% of women go to Hell).

Muslim (40:6831) - Non-Muslims in Hell will be given thick skin so as to prolong their agony (before they are given fresh skin for a new round of torture - Qur'an verse 4:56).

Bukhari (59:727) - Allah's Apostle [said]... "Allah's curse be on the Jews and the Christians" This was spoken on Muhammad's death bed, and was one of the last things that he ever said.

Ishaq 240 - "The Jews are a nation of liars.... The Jews are a treacherous, lying, and evil people"

The Qur'an also contains dozens of verses that specifically describe Jews in the ugliest, most hateful terms. These parts of the Qur'an are indistinguishable from hate literature. Justice is difficult to find in the character of Allah.  Not only does the god of Islam appear to punish people disproportionately for mere unbelief, but he explicitly creates them to be nothing more than "fuel for the fire" of hell [Sura 72:15] and he actually "causes the unjust to go astray" [Sura 14:27] (see also Suras 74:31 and 18:17) even though he has the ability to lead everyone down the right path [Sura 16:9].

A person's good deeds are for naught [Sura 18:104-106]. Allah appears to also send the wives (who are "from the devils") of "evil-doers" to Hell without apparent regard for their own guilt [Sura 37:22].

With hatred confirmed by close to 500 verses that speak of Allah's wrath against unbelievers, take the most popular example, Sura 2:62 - "Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve." This sounds like tolerance for other faiths. But this is also from the earliest Medinan Sura (the same one that famously speaks of "no compulsion in religion").

Compare these two scriptures...

[Sura 2.256] "There shall be no compulsion in religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in false deities and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. Allah is Hearing and Knowing." [Sura 9:4-5] "Excepted are those with whom you made a treaty among the infidels and then they have not been deficient toward you in anything or supported anyone against you; so complete for them their treaty until their term. Indeed, Allah loves the righteous. And when the sacred months have passed, then kill the infidels wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they should repent, establish prayer, and pay tribute tax, let them [go] on their way. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful."

The verse was revealed just after Muhammad and his 100 followers were expelled from Mecca and desperately needed to make alliances with the people around them in their new home town of Medina. Most of their neighbors were not Muslims, and if Muhammad and his tiny group were to have informed the people around them of their religious inferiority and ultimate doom, they would not have had the opportunity to gain power. By contrast, the 9th and 5th Suras are among the most intolerant of the Qur'an, and they are also considered the final narrations.

The same seems to hold true for Sura 3, which is an exercise in contradiction. Verse 151 condemns Christians to Hell for believing in the Trinity, while verses 113-116 say that there are among the People of the Book who believe in Allah and the Last Day and are in "the ranks of the righteous." In order to stay on the safe side, however, Muhammad warns in verse 118 against taking "for intimate friends from among others than your own people." It also helps to remember that this Sura was an early Median verse, like Sura 2, but it follows the Battle of Badr, and occurs at a time when Muslims were gaining strength in the community and could afford to be more insistent.

Taken as a whole, no other religion on earth has the mandate that Islam does to dominate those outside the faith politically and culturally. Non-Muslims are to be subjugated and forced to pay money to Muslims, according to the Qur'an's 9th Sura and various Hadiths. Islamic law (Sharia) not only governs the affairs of Muslims, but non-Muslims as well. It proscribes a body of rules that systematically discriminates against those of other faiths, denying them legal rights, restricting their religious practices, and even determining where they are allowed to build houses.

One of the more common misdirections that today's pro-Muslim advocates advance is to say that Muhammad instructed his followers to love and not to hate. This is a partial truth. There are Hadiths that tell Muslims not to hate and not to do harm in word or deed (Muslim (1:65)) but the context and exact wording makes it very clear that this applies within the Muslim community to a believer's relations with fellow Muslims. These are not commands that govern a Muslim's obligation to the general community.

Another misdirection of Muslim scholars for the absence of verses concerning universal love in the Qur'an is to appeal to verses of the Christian Bible. Such scholars assert that since Islam is based on the two earlier religions of Judaism and Christianity, it therefore inherits the concepts of peace, love and tolerance in the New Testament that are missing from the Qur'an. But, of course, Muslims are not taught to believe the Old and New Testaments outright. There is no rote memorization of such scripture as there is for the Qur'an. There are also abundant historical and theological contradictions between the Qur'an and the Bible, from the Trinity to remarriage of a divorced partner to Redemption, as noted in Section 1 of this Part (above).

For example, the Qur'an says that the crucifixion never happened - something that hardly anyone else denies. Needless to say, the Qur'an really isn't the best source for Judeo-Christian theology. In short, it is highly disingenuous for Muslims to fill in the missing pieces of their faith by picking and choosing what they will from other religions to conveniently fit the fashion of the times. Muhammad chose to say little about universal love and brotherhood, yet so much about killing and eternal doom.

What does the Qur'an actually say?

  • [Sura 8.12] "When your Lord revealed to the angels: I am with you, therefore make firm those who believe. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them."

  • [Sura 5:33] "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His apostle and those who strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned."

  • [Sura 4.95] “The holders back from among the believers, not having any injury, and those who strive hard in Allah's way with their property and their persons are not equal; Allah has made the strivers with their property and their persons to excel the holders back a (high) degree, and to each (class) Allah has promised good; and Allah shall grant to the strivers above the holders back a mighty reward.” (This means that, except for the physically disabled, those who don’t fight against non-Muslims are lower class in the eyes of Allah, even though they will still receive some lower quality eternal reward)

  • [Sura 2.191] "And kill them wherever you find them."

  • [Sura 2.193] "And fight with them until there is no persecution, and religion should be only for Allah, but if they desist, then there should be no hostility except against the oppressors."

  • [Sura 9:73] - O Prophet! strive hard against the unbelievers and the hypocrites and be unyielding to them; and their abode is hell, and evil is the destination

  • [Sura 66:9] - O Prophet! Strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be stern with them. Hell will be their home, a hapless journey's end.

(Worse is he) whom Allah has cursed and brought His wrath upon, and of whom He made apes and swine, and he who served the Shaitan; these are worse in place and more erring from the straight path.

The extensiveness of the commands to root out and kill all who will not convert to Islam is beyond the ability of this one page curriculum, yet here we have seen more than enough to recognize that the highest scriptural authority of Islam clearly requires the forced adherence or death of those who will not convert.

Section 2 of 3: Divine "War" Commands to Jews and to Muslims
There is a huge difference between God's commands to the Israelites to "war" against the inhabitants of the promised land vs. the commands of Allah to war against everyone globally at all times throughout all history, present, and future.

People today "claim" that there is no distinction, but this is another blatant lie.

In the Old Testament, God was punishing a specific people group for their paganism and murder of children in their detestable worship of Ba'al and Molech, and simultaneously, was giving the nation of Israel a land in which to live as an inheritance. God never commanded Israel to take a violent message to the whole world and murder everyone who refused to convert.

This is the reality of Islam vs. Judaism with regard to Divine commands to "war".

Section 3 of 3: Punishments and the Return of Crucifixion

Qur’an Primary Punishments
[Sura 5:33] The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His apostle and those who strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned.

More Approved Punishments: Beheading and Mutilation
[Sura 8.12] When your Lord revealed to the angels: I am with you, therefore make firm those who believe. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them.

Those who disbelieve... this is everyone who is not Muslim!

Recently, I came across a series of articles in BRITISH media regarding the implementation of crucifixion in the Islamic world. I did not know this was happening!  Why? Because the American, pro-Islamic media ignores this. It is no surprise since Christians have been systematically murdered and crucified in such a way as to satisfy the United Nations international definition of genocide (click here), yet Barak Hussein Obama and his Department of State refused for years to acknowledge this until 2016.

The Myth: "Tiny Radical Minority" -- Click Here to see the actual numbers and population centers.

Be not afraid, but be aware! Resist evil and do not ignore the danger of Islam. Throughout the Islamic “holy scriptures”, anyone who does not submit is “contending” (or “making mischief” or “waging war in the manner of Satan”) against Allah.

Everyone thought crucifixion was an antiquated practice... American Christians, wake up! This is not a "twisted interpretation" of Islam, this IS Islam! If ANYONE tells you that Islam is a religion of peace, they are seriously and tragically misinformed.

Here are four BRITISH reports from 2015 and 2016 (and there are many more, just Google them) and as you read these you will see the cutting off of fingers, decapitations, then crucifixion, etc. This is exactly what the Qur’an requires as quoted above.

And more reports continue to come, such as this on 3/24/2016: True Islam requires CRUCIFIXION in the Qur'an (5:33)! Multiple reports now abound in the British media while OUR President and OUR media ignore it and continue to tell us that Islam is a religion of peace. A kidnapped Priest is about to be the next crucified victim of Islam. His "mischief in the land" was running a retirement home in Yemen and he was kidnapped after the Muslims murdered all of the Nuns working as nurses. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-...

Islam: Part 3 of 4 - Law

Muslim (Sharia) Law
Sharia is Islamic Law. It is the religious legal system that governs the political, social and moral duties of faithful Muslims. It is what is meant by "God's Law." The Sharia was derived from the Sunnah - the way of life of Muhammad as recorded in the Hadith (traditions). It pulls various Qur'an verses and historical narrations into an organized body of rules. Although Muslims as individuals often decide which parts of Sharia to follow or ignore, the Qur'an (Sura 33:21) says that it is not fitting for a believer to choose for themselves (i.e., disregard) any matter already decided by Allah.

Likewise, a government that limits God's Law in any way is an enemy of Allah and must be fought. The establishment of Sharia is the fundamental objective of every Islamic terror group. Once an Islamic state is in place, the Qur'an (Sura 9:29) and Sharia (o9.8) make it mandatory for Muslims to fight those Jews and Christians who will not convert or accept inferior status. This reality is left out by proponents of Sharia in the West, who hide behind the cloak of religion and expose only the more benign personal rules (such as those dealing with prayer and hygiene). This is to make it appear as if detractors are religious bigots whose real problem is tolerance for a different set of beliefs about God and worship.

In fact, Sharia is explicitly opposed to religious freedom, freedom of conscience and the free exchange of ideas. It is violent, openly bigoted toward non-Muslims, discriminatory, and unflinchingly sexist. Large sections deal with the practice of slavery. None of this changes by affixing a "phobia" label or otherwise insulting detractors.

The following sections highlight what Sharia actually says about important issues. References are to the classic manual, Reliance of the Traveller, considered one of the soundest translations of Islamic law. The full version in PDF form can be found here.

Freedom of Conscience and the Free Exchange of Ideas

(o8.1) - When a person who has reached puberty and is sane voluntarily apostatizes from Islam, he deserves to be killed.

(o8.4) - There is no indemnity for killing an apostate (since it is killing someone who deserves to die).

Acts that define "leaving Islam" and being subject to execution are listed in o8.7. They include:

-2- to intend to commit unbelief, even if in the future

-3- to deny the existence of Allah... or any of his attributes

-6- to be sarcastic about Allah's name, his command, his interdiction... or his threat

-7- to deny any verse of the Quran

-8- to mockingly say, "I don't know what faith is"

-17- to believe that things in themselves or by their own nature have any causal influence independent of the will of Allah

Holy War (Jihad)

(o9.0) - Jihad means to war against non-Muslims, and is etymologically derived from the word mujahada signifying warfare to establish the religion...

The scriptural basis for jihad... is such Qur'anic verses as:
-1- “Fighting is prescribed for you'' (Qur'an 2: 216);
-2- “Slay them wherever you find them'' (Qur'an 4: 89);
-3- “Fight the idolators utterly'' (Qur'an 9: 36);
and such hadiths as the one related by Bukhari and Muslim that the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said:
“I have been commanded to fight people until they testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and perform the prayer, and pay zakat. If they say it, they have saved their blood and possessions from me, except for the rights of Islam over them. And their final reckoning is with Allah'';

(o9.1) - Jihad [against non-Muslims in their own countries ] is a communal obligation... "He who provides the equipment for a soldier in Jihad has himself performed Jihad"

(o9.7) - The caliph makes war upon Jews, Christians, and Zoroastrians until they become Muslim or pay the non-Muslim poll tax in accordance with the word of Allah Most High:
"Fight those who do not believe in Allah and the Last Day and who forbid not what Allah and His messenger have forbidden-who do not practice the religion of truth, being of those who have been given the Book-until they pay the poll tax out of hand and are humbled" (Quran 9.29))

(o9.9) - The caliph fights all other people until they become Muslim

Homosexuality

(p17.3) - The Prophet (Allah Bless him and give him peace) said: "Kill the one who sodomizes and the one who lets it be done to him."

Women

m3.4 - 3.7 say that a woman may not "conduct her own marriage", meaning that she is not free to marry by choice. A male guardian is required to validate the marriage agreement.

m3.8 says that a woman is not free to choose her guardian. It is assigned by family relation. Once she is married, she becomes the charge of her husband's guardianship.

A Muslim woman may not marry a non-Muslim man (Quran 2:221). An untranslated portion of the Sharia even forbids an Arab woman from marrying a non-Arab man (source).

(m13.4) - A woman has no right to custody of her children from a previous marriage when she remarries.

(m5.1) - It is obligatory for a woman to let her husband have sex with her immediately when he asks her... and she can physically endure it.

(m10.11-2) - It is not lawful for a wife to leave the house except by the permission of her husband.

(m10.11) - When a husband notices signs of rebelliousness in his wife, he warns her in words. If she commits rebelliousness, he keeps from sleeping with her without words, and may hit her, but not in a way that injures her, meaning he may not break bones, wound her, or cause blood to flow.

(o4.9) - The indemnity for the death or injury of a woman is one-half the indemnity paid for a man.

(L10.3) - Divide the universal share so the male receives the portion of two females (Rule of inheritance based on the Quran 4:11)

(m2.3) - It is unlawful for women to leave the house with faces unveiled

Non-Muslims (Bigotry toward those outside the Islamic faith)

(o4.9) - The indemnity paid for a Jew or Christian is one-third of the indemnity paid for a Muslim. The indemnity paid of a Zoroastrian is one-fifteenth of that a Muslim.

(h8.24) - It is not permissible to give zakat to a non-Muslim.

(e2.3) - It is offensive to use the vessels [dishes] of non-Muslims or wear their clothes.

e8.3 says that a non-Muslim may not touch the Quran.

f21.2 says that non-Muslims are not allowed to 'mix' with Muslims at certain events.

g1.2 says that it is permissible for a Muslim to visit a non-Muslim who is ill, but not recommended. (Same with visiting the grave of a non-Muslim relative - g5.8)

(L5.2) - a non-Muslim may not inherit from a Muslim. (or vice versa)

o1.2 states that there is no penalty for a Muslim who kills a non-Muslim

o11.0-11 says that non-Muslim subjects of an Islamic state may live free from harm if they
- pay a special 'poll' tax (the jizya)

- comply with certain Islamic rules, specifically the penalty for adultery (stoning) and theft (amputation)

- distinguish themselves from Muslims by dressing differently

- keep to the side of the side of the street when Muslims pass

- accept a lesser form of greeting

- agree not to build new churches or build houses higher than those of Muslims
The agreement is broken (meaning that the non-Muslim may be lynched) if he breaks the rules, fails to pay the poll tax, "leads a Muslim away from Islam", "mentions something impermissible" about Islam, or has sex with a non-Muslim woman.

(o22.13) - The judge treats two litigants impartially, seating both in places of equal honor, attending to each, and so forth, unless one is a non-Muslim, in which case he gives the Muslim a better seat

Sex and Honor Killing

(o1.2) - The following are not subject to retaliation: ... -4- a father or mother (or their fathers or mothers) for killing their offspring or offspring's offspring

o12.2 - The penalty for adultery is stoning. The penalty for unmarried sex (fornication) is 100 lashes.

Slavery

A large section of the Sharia is devoted to codifying the practice of slavery (k32.0). The Reliance of the Traveller omits these rules from the English language translation, perhaps to obscure the comfortable relationship between Islam and slavery. However, parts from other sections address both the capture of slaves and the sanctioning of forced conversion under obvious duress.

(o9.13) - When a child or a woman is taken captive, they become slaves by the fact of capture, and the woman's previous marriage is immediately annulled.

(o9.14) - When an adult male is taken captive, the caliph considers the interests (O: of Islam and the Muslims) and decides between the prisoner's death, slavery, release without paying anything, or ransoming himself in exchange for money or for a Muslim captive held by the enemy. If the prisoner becomes a Muslim (O: before the caliph chooses) then he may not be killed, and one of the other three alternatives is chosen.

(o9.12) Whoever enters Islam before being captured may not be killed or his property confiscated, or his young children taken captive.

o4.9 is one of several rules that establish slaves as property, to be traded as a form of restitution.

o20.2 makes it clear that a slave freed as a method of expiation must be a "sound Muslim."

Theft

(o14.1) - A person's right hand is amputated, whether he is a Muslim, non-Muslim subject of the Islamic state

Art and Music

r40.1 says that musical instruments are condemned.

(r40.3) - One should know that singing or listening to singing is offensive (with the exception of songs that encourage piety).

(p44.1) - Every maker of pictures will go to the fire, where a being will be set upon him for each picture he made, to torment him in hell

(w50.2) - Pictures imitate the creative act of Allah (when they are of animate beings).

(o17.9) - It is unlawful to decorate walls with pictures (generally interpreted as pictures of animate beings).

Additional Notes

Sharia is extremely specific in some places (such as instructions on washing one's anus). However, it does not often address the many routines and nuances of modern life. Bodies of Islamic scholars (fiqh) thus extend the law via fatwas, in which the permissibility of a matter is formally determined by applying the spirit of existing law.

Note: This sub-section is taken from TROP's Sharia Law page which is so thorough I simply incorporated it almost verbatim (here).

Islam: Part 4 of 4 - Women & Homosexuals

Section 1 of 2: Muslim Views of Women
Those who teach that women are actually to be loved and treated well in the religion of Islam are blatantly lying. What does the Qur’an actually say?

  • [Sura 4.34] “Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property; the good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded; and (as to) those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in the sleeping-places and beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High, Great.

  • [Sura 38.44] “And take in your hand a green branch and beat her with it and do not break your oath; surely We found him patient; most excellent the servant! Surely he was frequent in returning (to Allah).

  • [Sura 2.223] “Your wives are a tilth for you, so go into your tilth when you like.” ("tilth" means "property" including real estate/land, thus you can "go into your" woman any time you like, regardless of her feelings or desires)

  • [Sura 2.228] “... and the men are a degree above women.

  • [Sura 66:5] "Maybe, his Lord, if he divorce you, will give him in your place wives better than you, submissive, faithful, obedient, penitent, adorers, fasters, widows and virgins." (a disobedient wife can simply be replaced any time he wishes)

  • [Sura 4:11] "The male shall have the equal of the portion of two females" (inheritance law)

What does the Qur'an say about the rape and sexual enslavement of women?
Much actually! It is only against Islamic religion to rape Muslim women, but Muhammad actually encouraged the rape of others captured in battle.

This hadith provides the context for the Qur’anic verse (4:24): "The Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) sent a military expedition to Awtas on the occasion of the battle of Hunain. They met their enemy and fought with them. They defeated them and took them captives. Some of the Companions of the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) were reluctant to have intercourse with the female captives in the presence of their husbands who were unbelievers. So Allah, the Exalted, sent down the Qur’anic verse: (Sura 4:24) 'And all married women (are forbidden) unto you save those (captives) whom your right hands possess. Thus has Allah ordained for you.' " (Hadith, Abu Dawud 2150, also Muslim 3433)

Actually, as the hadith indicates, it wasn't Muhammad, but "Allah the Exalted" who told the men to rape the women in front of their husbands - which is all the more reason to think of Islam differently from other religions.

There are several other episodes in which Muhammad is offered the clear opportunity to disavow raping women - yet he instead offers advice on how to proceed. In one case, his men were reluctant to devalue their new slaves for later resale by getting them pregnant. Muhammad was asked about coitus interruptus in particular:

"O Allah's Apostle! We get female captives as our share of booty, and we are interested in their prices, what is your opinion about coitus interruptus?" The Prophet said, "Do you really do that? It is better for you not to do it. No soul that which Allah has destined to exist, but will surely come into existence.” (Hadith, Bukhari 34:432)

As indicated, the prophet of Islam did not mind his men raping the women, provided they ejaculated within the bodies of their victims.

And then there is also this from the Qur'an which again makes a clear distinction between "those whom thy right hand possesses" and true wives, from Sura 33:50 which states "Indeed We know what We have enjoined upon them about their wives and those (captives or slaves) whom their right hands possess, - in order that there should be no difficulty on you. And Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

And regarding the women of the Banu Mustaliq who were sold into slavery following their rape: "We went out with Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) on the expedition to the Bi'l-Mustaliq and took captive some excellent Arab women; and we desired them, for we were suffering from the absence of our wives, (but at the same time) we also desired ransom for them. So we decided to have sexual intercourse with them but by observing 'azl (Withdrawing the male sexual organ before emission of semen to avoid-conception). But we said: We are doing an act whereas Allah's Messenger is amongst us; why not ask him? So we asked Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him), and he said: It does not matter" (Hadith, Sahih Muslim 3371)

In fact, female slaves were traded like any other simple commodity by Muhammad and his band of devoted followers: "Then the apostle sent Sa-d b. Zayd al-Ansari, brother of Abdu'l-Ashal with some of the captive women of Banu Qurayza to Najd and he sold them for horses and weapons." (Hadith, Ibn Ishaq/Hisham/Hisham 693)

Additionally, the hadith goes on to recount that Muhammad personally demanded one of the captured women for his own use: “I drove them along until I brought them to Abu Bakr who bestowed that girl upon me as a prize. So we arrived in Medina. I had not yet disrobed her when the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) met me in the street and said: ‘Give me that girl.’” (Hadith, Sahih Muslim 4345)

The prophet of Islam and his companions used war to collect women for personal sexual use and for trading. Unless she was arbitrarily declared as someone's wife, the woman became a sex slave. In no case was her fate tied to anything that she had personally done, nor was she given a choice about her future.

And this from Qur’an: (Sura 70:29-30,35) “And those who guard their chastity, Except with their wives and the (captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (then) they are not to be blamed, ... Such will be the honoured ones in the Gardens (of Bliss).

-- AN IMPORTANT UNDERSTANDING --

While Judeo-Christian scripture clearly states the sinfulness of homosexuality, among many types of sexual sin, this faith system leaves the judgment of such matters to God Himself and only in a theocracy (such as ancient Israel once was thousands of years ago) are penalties prescribed. That is very important to understand, for in Islam there is NO DISTINCTION. In Judeo-Christian faith, legal penalties for such activities are only applicable in a theocratic governmental structure, and are NOT applicable in a democratic governmental structure, but under Islam these penalties are applicable in ALL CIRCUMSTANCES regardless of governmental structure!

Section 2 of 2: Muslim Views of Homosexuals
The murder of homosexuals is a commandment for all time to be applied to all nations, peoples, territories, and communities.

Here is what the Islamic scriptures clearly state.

Qur'an, Sura 4:16 - "If two men among you are guilty of
lewdness, punish them both. If they repent and amend,
Leave them alone
"

Hadith, Abu Dawud (4462) - "The Messenger of Allah
(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said,
'Whoever you find doing the action of the people of
Lot, execute the one who does it and the one to
whom it is done.''
"

Hadith, al-Tirmidhi, Sunan 1:152 - "Whoever is found
conducting himself in the manner of the people of Lot,
kill the doer and the receiver.
"

Islam: Conclusion & Additional Resources

Section 1 of 3: Conclusion
Islam is by definition the following things:

  1. A lie of Satan, delivered to Muhammad while disguised as an "angel of light".
  2. A violent and radical form of life (and those who do not embrace the fullness of the violence are lower quality in the eyes of Allah).
  3. A world-dominant faith which will not compromise nor respect any difference of opinion, does not engage in reason or debate, but instead demands full and total adherence or imposes death upon any who will not bend their knee to Allah.
  4. A perversion of the Judeo-Christian faith that it claims to properly restore to God's original intent.
  5. A heresy cursed by God according to Paul in Galatians 1:8 "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God's curse!"

This evil "religion" must be opposed in every venue: whether in the hall of academia, in the public discourse, in the defense of terrorist attack, and on the battlefields of our globe. Those who embrace this evil religion and live in true accord with the requirements of the Qur'an must be resisted with whatever degree of force is necessary, so as Nehemiah (4:16-23) took DEFENSIVE posture against the enemies of his people, so also we must take DEFENSIVE posture in our daily lives, prepared even if necessary for defense to the death! Nationally, in DEFENSE of liberty, we must take the fight to them, or they will bring the fight to our neighborhood streets and markets. THERE IS NO OTHER CHOICE!

Section 2 of 3: Understanding the "Valences" Descended from the Table of Nations

All nations of the Earth find their origin as recorded in Genesis 10 and all people of the Earth derive from Noah. This is an historical fact, regardless of religious affiliation, or atheism. The table of nations and the genealogy of nations leading to God's covenant with Abraham contains the key to understanding both our current drama of the 21st century, and also to the bitterness experienced among the various "races" of mankind.

It is a matter of history that the Earth has been populated from the descendents of Noah and his sons' children as they dispersed across the Earth. Japheth and his children populated the northern territories, both east and west. Shem and his children populated the middle eastern areas. Ham and his children migrated into the lands that are now Israel and also into the African continent.

The curse of Ham's son (Canaan) for his father's ridicule of Noah, the chosen of God to provide deliverance for mankind from the flood, has never been overcome. In fact, the curse of Canaan is sometimes viewed by religious historians as a curse against the entire family of Ham. (His sons are Cush, Egypt, Put, and Canaan, representing the peoples of Ethiopia/Sudan, Egypt, Libya, and Palestine respectively giving rise to the populations of the dark skinned races.)

Also, many years later, the curses of both Ishmael and Esau have always plagued the majority of those who populate the Palestinian, Persian, Arabian, and Egyptian areas. Thus through Ham, and select descendants of Shem, came all the curses that plague the various races of humanity who demonstrate such anger and hatred in the world today.

These facts remain today to be troubling realities for the descendents of Noah's sons. Either consciously or unconsciously, the hostility demonstrated by these descendents toward those who have been "blessed" is inherent in their world view. In acknowledging this historical reality, a bitter denial is anticipated, yet the facts remain. The error of those thus embittered is in the incorporation of the curses into their own present time experience. This means that those thus embittered are living in the "valence" of a distant ancestor.

VALENCE means "the capacity of one person or thing to react with or affect another in some special way, as by attraction or the facilitation of a function or activity", and "The degree of attraction or aversion that an individual feels toward a specific object or event".

Valences determine the functioning rules of one's universe. Think of this as being influenced by an ancestor's reality such that it fashions one's view of the world and one's position within that world, and also such that its unstated presence governs events in one's life and one's reactions to those events.

Because these curses are historical fact and their utterance became universal truths, many individuals today live in that ancient valence. They are angry and they deny the true source. As a result, their anger and hatred are passed from one generation to the next, and may even have demonstrated their permanence as self-fulfilled prophecies--such as occurred through slavery or as in defiance of history by demanding a different Divine revelation.

   The Myth: "Tiny Radical Minority"

Click Here to see the actual numbers and population centers. This is based on the ideas that Sharia Law and/or suicide bombs are justified and/or supported.

While surveys of Muslims in the US indicate a smaller degree of acceptance, even in the US it is NOT a tiny minority. America has been sleeping through the infiltration and indoctrination of the full, Qur'an-based faith of Islam, and only as terrorism strikes in America does the nation awaken to this reality: what Islam truly is.

The correct solution is to recognize and rise above the valence of historical record such that each individual can be freed from multi-generational servitude to that valence. The curses are thousands of years past, yet they persist to each new generation only because the descendents of those who were cursed have never broken the cycle of bondage.

Examine what groups are angry and consider who carries immutable "chips on their shoulders". When any such group is identified, then trace their lineage to the table of nations and you will find the original curse that plagues the progeny. This endeavor reveals the true source of the collective pain perpetuated within the identified group, and more importantly, correctly identifies the first elemental valence (perhaps the first of many) in which they live.

Section 3 of 3: Additional Resources
There are many "anti-Islam" sites on the internet, and their extremely negative (even angry view) of Islam is viciously pronounced throughout their "analysis" of Islamic teachings. Personally, I have great difficulty when the "analysis" is so heavily laden with vitriol.

I prefer more intellectually honest evaluations, even if I can still recognize the particular "bent" of the analyst. The following resources provide, in my opinion, a more honest evaluation of Islamic teaching, and the analysts' bent does not seem to overwhelm the honesty of intellectual analysis.
