Climate Change True Believers

 

 
For a reasoned discourse, there must FIRST be a common vocabulary. Unfortunately, in the early 21st century, there is NO COMMON VOCABULARY for intellectually honest discourse with the "Climate Change" faithful.
What do I mean? As an example, the "climate changers" talk in "facts". But are these truly "facts"? The definition of the word FACT is: "a thing that is indisputably the case." Well first off, "climate change" is not "indisputably the case", but is BELIEVED to be so by the "climate change" crowd. Why?
As an example, in discussion with one of my relatives, we considered the "facts" arising from core samples taken from the polar ice cap, and he recited numerous "facts" taught in his university. But what true facts can be learned about the entire globe from a 5-inch-diameter wafer of ice? The only TRUE fact indisputable from such a sample is that AT THAT PLACE and AT THAT TIME there was what can be observed in that sample. The rest is "assumption", not "fact". Two of those assumptions are as follows: (A) The atmosphere of the earth perfectly diffused all particulate matter at that historical moment in time (B) The conditions of the entire surface of the earth are substantially identical to the conditions at that microscopic point at that fraction of a moment in time
Now the surface of the earth is over 500 million square kilometers, thus a five inch diameter wafer of ice translates into a total space on the face of the planet of 1.26645 raised to the negative 16th power.
How does one comprehend this? Think of it this way: Interstate 40 runs from North Carolina to California, so suppose someone dug out a 1/64-inch core from just outside of Memphis TN, analyzed it, and then concluded that the ENTIRE Interstate Highway 40 was identical to that tiny, tiny sample at the given point in time of that sample. Such an assumption would be wrong, and anyone demanding that assumption was a "fact" would be considered an idiot. Yet that is what passes for historical "science" and "fact" today in our education system.
Additionally, if you whittle down on all of the assumptions, there is a singular base assumption upon which it is all built. If all of those assumptions and the singular base assumption are wrong, then the entire structure crumbles. What is that singular base assumption on which all of this is built?
Romans 1:19-22 states What can be known about God is evident among them, because God has shown it to them. For His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world, being understood through what He has made. As a result, people are without excuse. For though they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God or show gratitude. Instead, their thinking became nonsense, and their senseless minds were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools.
The base assumption, taught as "fact", is that there is no God. Then upon that error, an entire structure is built in error, thus (in my example above) leading to a "fact" about the ENTIRE earth based upon even more assumptions conjectured from a tiny speck of ice.
In a sane world, this would be considered total foolishness. And because there is no common vocabulary, one cannot even conduct an intellectually honest discourse, because the "Climate Change" faithful insist that their assumptions (their beliefs = their faith = their religion) are indisputable "facts".
In reality, they simply "BELIEVE" and such faith requires a massive “LEAP”. With this kind of closed-mindedness, one cannot conduct any intellectually honest discourse.

During the 1970s the media promoted global cooling alarmism with dire threats of a new ice age. Extreme weather events were hyped as signs of the coming apocalypse and man-made pollution was blamed as the cause. The reality is that the "earth worshiping" agenda is atheistic in origin and that the dishonesty is rampant. When I was a teenager, the alarmists screeched "Global Cooling" but as the sun warmed in the 1980s, they sputtered, then screeched "Global Warming" but as the sun cooled in the 2000s, they sputtered, then screeched "Climate Change".

My pickup truck and Mountain Dew cans have almost NOTHING to do with the earth's climate. The sun's cycle of warming and cooling is the main effect on global temperatures. The earth (if more than 7,000 years old) has been warming since its formation for the sun has been growing hotter and hotter, consistent with the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics.

If you don't agree with the atheistic "scientists" and "experts", then you are foolish. Yet even in the profession, anyone who dares hold a different view is ignored and/or ostracized.
